New Product Launch: The Vegan UnBun!!!

Since its inception in late 2017, Unbun Foods has been servicing the keto, paleo, gluten-free, and health-conscious consumer. Seeing explosive 100x growth in their first year with their signature keto bun allowed founder Gus Klemos to start releasing additional products we had a passion for.
While their signature bun has been flying off the shelves, and demand has been increasing, this isn’t slowing down this young company’s innovation. A large part of their research & development process is listening to consumer feedback and paying attention to other industry trends. It is no surprise then, that the next phase of expansion for the UnBun Foods brand is a vegan option. There are no plant based paleo breads on the market that are also keto.

We’ve achieved the Unbunlievable! A fully whole plant based grain-free, keto paleo bun for all of your beyond meat, impossible burgers, breakfast sandwiches, sweet tooth indulgences that has never been achieved before because it also happens to be:

While similar to the initial product offering, Unbun Foods’ vegan keto buns contain no egg, but are still keto, paleo, grain/gluten-free, and actually delicious. The base is a combination of blanched almond flour, coconut milk, pumpkin seed protein, olive oil, coconut flour, psyllium husk and flax meal, amongst other clean and whole ingredients. The nutritional value is quite impressive. Each bun contains:
- 3g of Net Carbs
- 12g dietary fibre
- 11g protein
- 18 g of healthy/good fats
- Less than 1 g of naturally occurring sugar
Gus is eager to bring this product to market because it is comparable to the original product but is able to satisfy a much larger portion of the population, without segregating any particular group. It truly is an incredible feat for the brand.
At a recent industry trade show, many of the consumers taste testing both the signature product and the vegan product, voted in favour of the latter. Impressively, the taste and quality are uncompromised and unmatched, leaving many to ponder how it’s possible. While the secret is still in the vault, UnBun Foods is excited to bring the new iteration of their product to market.
Also, keep an eye out for Unbun Foods keto sub buns being released this month with the plant based keto bun. Then in early spring – pizza crusts and sliced bread loaves coming out in the near future.
